Low Alloy Steel

Characteristics

An all positional, low alloy steel, low hydrogen electrode depositing radiographic quality welds, which are highly resistant to hydrogen induced cracking.

Other characteristics include stable arc, smooth weld beads, easy slag removal and low spatter. Weld metal exhibits excellent toughness at-51°C.

Applications

Suitable for welding high strength low alloy or micro alloyed steels to themselves or to lower strength steels.

Typical applications include fabrication of penstock, pressure vessels, bridges and other equipment.
