An all positional, low alloy steel, heavy coated low hydrogen electrode depositing radiographic quality welds which are highly resistant to hydrogen induced cracking.
Other characteristics include stable arc, smooth weld beads, easy slag removal and low spatter.
Suitable for welding high tensile steels (60 kgf/mm2), low alloy steels used in pressure vessels, high temperature service equipments, bridges and heavy machinery. Specially recommended for steels of the classification IS- 8500-91, Gr. 540B, 570B, 590B, IS-2002-Gr3, ASTMA302, Gr.B etc.
Dry the electrodes at 250 C for 2 hours and keep in a holding oven at 120 C during use.
